Wolves weather the Storm and begin to stalk the Vikings

OK, so it's been a while since our last entry, but now that we've settled in, we have our first big game this season.  Great job on Saturday taking on the Storm, some terrific passing, shooting, defense and goaltending showed what you are capable of doing.  Please continue.  Now for the job ahead of us.....yes,  of course you remenber those North Shore Vikings, they played well, played tough defense and we were nice enough to have them pass us by on their Walbaum's Cup journey.  The Vikings are a good team but I know we can be better!  The GC Wolves are the best!

Well, let's see what have we learned since then... great passing leads to great goals, unselfish play leads to goals, being in the right position leads to goals, so lets apply that to the Vikings.  Our defense and goaltending is tenacious and tough to beat.  They may think they saw the best of the Wolves, but I know you will come out and show them what the Wolves are really made of.  It's our turn Wolves, join the pack, play together, be hungry, play hard and clean.

Our goal is 1st Place, the Vikings are tied with us for second, lets place our mark on this season by taking a step towards first and repaying the Vikings for beating us 1-0.  It's up to you, play hard and play together,  we will succeed.

Hustle and Heart wins games, show the Vikings that we want it more!

GO WOLVES................................................be hungry, run in packs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winning Attitude

1) Be excited and ready to play your best game.
2) Try to win every ball that is in your area.
3) Challenge their player early so they can't dribble into our penalty box.
4) Look for ways to help your teamates on offense so we can score.
5) Help out on defense so they never have a 2 on 1 break away.
6) Be alert at all times of where the ball is and if anyone is trying to sneak by you for a pass.
7) Never give up on a ball or a play.
8) Try new moves and passes in every game so you can get better as an individual player and as a team.
9) Be a great chearleader for your team if your on the bench.
